Come and help Epping Forest District Museum reveal the untold stories of the roles played by women at work in the area over the last 100 years.
We need volunteers to help us research material on this important and topical subject, both in our own collection at the Epping Forest District Museum in Waltham Abbey and in the community across the district. We hope that through your help we can bring to life local stories of social historic significance. We would be very happy to receive any contribution that you could offer us, whether based here at our museum in Waltham Abbey, on-line from home, from other venues or from a mix of those options.
We would welcome people who want to get involved either because they have a general interest in this project or because they have a specific line of enquiry that they would like to research.
Why get involved?
Not least because it is an opportunity to bring to light unchartered social historical material of local and national interest.
Training can be provided either by our in-house team or more subject specific research training elsewhere provided through the Snapping the Stiletto project.
How to get involved?
